TC Counseling Services
A calm, trustworthy website for a Wisconsin therapy practice: clear services, insurance answers up front, and a direct path to booking a free consultation.
Overview
TC Counseling Services is a private therapy and coaching practice in Mequon, Wisconsin, led by Tim Carney, a licensed clinical social worker. The practice works with children, teens, adults, and couples on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioural concerns, and relationships. SmartQix designed and built the website to introduce the practice with warmth, answer the practical questions people have before they reach out, and make booking a first conversation as easy as possible.
The challenge
Someone looking for a therapist is often anxious, in a hurry, and comparing several practices at once. The site had to establish trust within seconds, explain five distinct services without clinical jargon, and answer the questions that decide whether a person calls: which insurance is accepted, what the first session is like, where the office is, and how to book. It also had to give people in crisis a clear route to immediate help, and it had to do all of this on a phone.
What we built
We led with a calm headline, "A safe space to heal and grow", under the promise "Care for every stage of life", and a single primary action: book a free 15-minute consultation. Each service gets its own plain-language section describing who it is for and how it helps. A What to Expect page walks new clients from first contact through intake and ongoing sessions so nothing feels unknown. Accepted insurance plans and superbill options sit on the page rather than behind a phone call, office hours and directions are on the contact page, and crisis resources including the 988 lifeline are one tap away. The site is server-rendered with self-hosted fonts and lightweight styling so it loads quickly on mobile connections, and booking hands off to the practice's existing patient portal.
