House of Lims

Overview

House of Lims is a family-run group in Hagerstown, Maryland that grew from a single home care agency, The Lord Is My Shepherd Home Care, into seven businesses organised as three houses: The Caring House, The Feeding House, and The Motor House. The businesses share a phone line, an address, and a reputation, but serve completely different needs. SmartQix designed and built the group website to route each visitor to the right business in one step, give every business a consistent page of its own, and support hiring across the group from one careers hub.

The challenge

Someone arriving at houseoflims.com might need a caregiver for a parent, a bag of gari, a tow at two in the morning, or a used car. A single brochure page would fail all of them. The site had to make the choice obvious on first view, keep each business feeling like a real place with its own hours and contact details, and still read as one family with one set of values. It also needed to handle recruitment for seven businesses without seven separate processes.

What we built

The home page opens with one question, "What do you need help with today?", and answers it with the seven businesses grouped under their three houses, each showing whether it is open right now and when it closes. Every business gets a templated page built from the same parts: a plain-language headline, service categories, hours, a status badge, address and map, and a primary action that fits the business, such as request a consultation for home care or call now for towing. The Our Story page explains the family, the Psalm 23 name, and the values behind the group. A careers hub lists openings across all seven businesses with filters by business and employment type, and lets applicants check their status. Staff sign in to manage listings and applications through a private admin area.
